When she met her future husband, Bob, in high school, the two never imagined the adventures they would share as parents. Like all young couples, they felt they would "have it all together" when it came to raising children. "We had it all planned out, but God had different ideas than we did. We are now enjoying watching our children go through the same struggles we did," she says with a quiet smile and a knowing nod. "I think my greatest joy has been when one of my children tells me, 'Please, don't tell me I was any way like this!' " Each chapter shares a personal story and ends with a tie-in to scripture in the Bible.
