Too afraid to meet the humans around them, because humans appear as giants to these wee folk, the Pinecone family comes across a baby dolphin who got stuck in a stream and couldn't escape. The dolphin is a friendly sort and tells the little people all about humans and how they live. And this is only Book I Now retired, author J. J. S. R. grew up in Detroit and currently resides in Farmington, Michigan.
