We Exist: 5 Short Plays for AAPI Women Actors by Christine Toy Johnson. In stories centering AAPI women characters from ages 18-59 in settings ranging from preparing for a family reunion's expectations with a "full body lift," to the world of a Filipina Overseas Performing Artist, to the surreal show biz arena of Broadway, and the U.S. Senate, these short plays have been produced across the country and push back at the too-often-heard question: "But are there any Asian American actors out there?" Comic and sly, this publication is a project of NoPassport Press.
