Japan, 1999. Nao Miyamoto and Takeo Iwasaki couldn't be more different, like the sun and moon. And yet, they attract each other just as much. Being in love with someone of the same gender isn't easy in the conservative Japan of the 90s. Cast out by his family and made into a scapegoat by his classmates, Nao seemingly has nothing worth living for--until he meets the brilliant and energetic Takeo, who shows him just how bright life can be. But Takeo drags the remnants of a dark past behind him, which are quick to catch up with them. He is blackmailed by a gang leader who still has an outstanding score to settle with Takeo, putting their relationship to the test. Without thinking twice, Nao shoulders the burden with him and is thus pulled into the chaos of violence and cruelty. As the world collapses around them, the two must learn what it means to survive in a cruel world, where every spark of light risks being devoured by darkness.
