Lauren was a young college student driving home from college to visit her parents. It was raining, and the street was slippery. She got a ding on her phone, and she looked away only for half a second. Unfortunately, taking your eyes off the road even for that tiny amount of time can be fatal. A truck driver fell asleep on the wheel, and the vehicle got into Lauren’s side of the road. The impact was brutal, and Lauren’s car got most of the damage. The truck was too big and bulky to suffer much from the crash. The young girl’s car rolled a couple of times until it stopped moving. The truck driver was wide awake after the accident, and he got down from his vehicle to rush to her aid. He opened the door and found her, her legs and abdomen crushed by the car’s instrument panel.
