When the bank slaps the fifth and final foreclosure notice on her door, Sochella "Soe" McKinnon knows she's running out of time. Bolder Ranch has been in her family for generations, and she will fight to her last breath to keep it. Desperate for help but strapped for cash, her prayers seem answered when a drop-dead gorgeous stranger named Jackson Hall rides up to the property asking for work.
Hiring him is a massive gamble, especially since his piercing grey eyes and killer abs make it next to impossible for Soe to think straight. She tells herself to keep it strictly professional, but his lazy cowboy strut and wicked grin make that a losing battle.
What Soe doesn't know is that Jackson Hall is a ruthless city developer whose multi-million-dollar corporate project is completely stalled. Out of fifteen local ranchers, Soe is the lone, stubborn holdout refusing to sell her land. Intrigued and frustrated, Jackson decides to go undercover as a simple ranch hand to find her weakness and force the deal through.
He expected a corporate pushover. Instead, he finds a fierce, tiny spitfire who commands the dirt beneath her boots. As they work side-by-side under the hot sun, the lines between his corporate mission and his roaring desire begin to blur.
