He was a boy; she was a girl. Two opposites can’t help but to fall in love, but the influence of peers and the stranglehold of legacy prove that only the strongest of trysts can battle the cruelest of obstacles. Punk rocker Johnny Thrash and his band, Tragedy, find local fame within a reckless scene of music and revelry, but as the perks of being in the limelight pile up, Johnny wants what he can’t have: Lizzy Smart. She is pure, studious, and sweet, and the pressures of Lizzy’s home life chase her into the star’s arms. The two are refreshed with new views on life and become obsessed with each other—until the impact of a rock ‘n’ roll life and the chains of parental assumptions tear the two apart. It will take trust in fate to overcome bad timing and damaging whispers. “Tragedy: A Love Ballad” is Johnny and Lizzy’s heartrending tale.
