TO SERVE AND REMEMBER: The Truth Behind The Badge
This is the gripping true story of one man’s journey through two of America’s toughest uniforms—soldier and police officer.
After retiring from the military, Officer Eggleston answered a new kind of call: to protect and serve his community. But what began as a proud continuation of service quickly became a series of trials that tested his strength, values, and spirit.
Through raw and unfiltered stories—of chaotic crime scenes, heart-wrenching mental health calls, violent protests, personal sacrifice, and moments of unexpected grace—Eggleston brings readers behind the yellow tape and into the soul of modern policing.
This is not just a book about law enforcement. It’s about identity, trauma, duty, and the heavy price of service. It’s about the toll on families, the struggle to stay human in a system that can feel inhuman, and the strength it takes to walk away when the weight becomes too much.
A powerful memoir that honors the badge, remembers the fallen, and asks the hard questions so few are willing to face.
