Before the Throne of Embers, there was the Throne of Gold. Before the silence, there was the song.
The history of Aethelgard began with a promise made by King Theron the Unbroken—a vow to protect his land at any cost. In return, the world answered with divine golden light, binding him to the kingdom itself. For generations, Aethelgard flourished under his legacy.
But promises fade when they are forgotten.
As centuries passed, memory turned to myth, and myth turned to greed. Loyalty was replaced by betrayal, unity by corruption. The royal court decayed from within until even the throne became a symbol of lies rather than protection.
When the kingdom finally breaks its ancient vow, the golden light dies—and something far darker awakens.
A voice rises from the shadows, claiming the price of every forgotten promise. The throne is consumed. The age of gold ends in fire and silence.
From the ashes of that fallen world, a child is born under storm-dark skies—Elara, marked by fate and bound to a truth buried beneath centuries of deception.
As ancient forces stir and the remnants of the old magic fracture, Elara must uncover what truly destroyed Aethelgard… and decide whether the throne deserves to be saved, or finally burned to ash.
A dark fantasy tale of fallen kingdoms, cursed legacies, and the dangerous weight of forgotten vows.
