A collection of poems which were mostly recited by the author at several functions in Ghana and Germany, where the author stayed between 1988 and 2000. The author co-founded the Pan-African Initiative e.v, a non-governmental culural organization in Germany which was into organization of African cultural nights, music and dance in Germany. Under the African Project, there were a whole week of cultural activities dubbed, "African week of culture", where the author used to recite most of the poems compiled into "Thoughts of a Native Son of Africa". They include themes on "racism", "politics", "African struggle for identity", "opression" , "time", and "rainbow, as symbol of unity of mankind"
