Somewhere in rural Arkansas, a radio DJ disappeared mid-sentence.
The broadcast kept going.
For Cass, Beck, Wren, Junie, and one increasingly chonky snallygaster named Spork, this is a Tuesday. They are the team behind This Mystery We Are , a paranormal investigation YouTube channel with 3.6 million subscribers and a forty-two foot motorhome called The Harbinger. They go where the weird things are. They document. They survive. Occasionally they remember to eat.
The Thackerville case looks simple enough. A pirate radio tower. A missing broadcaster. A recording that cuts off mid-sentence and ends with something that sounds wet and wrong when you slow it down.
It isn't simple.
It never is.
This Mystery We Are: Episode 1 — Dead Air is the opening chapter of a paranormal-ish romance series about a found family on wheels chasing the unexplained across America. Part investigation, part relationship chaos, part road trip fever dream. There's genuine terror, genuine heart, a shapeshifter in a strawberry-milk sweatshirt, and a cryptid who farts at emotionally inconvenient moments.
The mystery is real. The team is realer.
And whatever is still broadcasting from that tower in Thackerville has been waiting a long time for someone to finally listen.
