When Paxton's day starts to feel a little too ordinary, he looks where few dare to explore-under the couch, under the bed, under the rug. What he finds isn't just dust bunnies and old socks, but the beginning of a grand adventure sparked by imagination and built with bits of forgotten "junk." The Wonder of Under is a playful picture book that blends STEM discovery with SEL growth. As Paxton upcycles ordinary items into an extraordinary sailboat, young readers are introduced to basic science and engineering concepts like building, floating, and problem-solving, while also exploring emotional themes like creativity, perseverance, and the joy of curiosity. An ACFWKidLit Finalist, this book celebrates the value of looking at life from a new angle and reminds readers that some of the best adventures begin with a simple question: "What if?" The back of the book includes step-by-step instructions to help little ones build their own sailboat and fun ideas for experimenting with their upcycled creation. Perfect for preschoolers and early learners, this book encourages kids to think outside the box-and maybe even under it. A delightful read for parents, caregivers, and educators, The Wonder of Under turns everyday moments into hands-on learning opportunities and imaginative fun.
