The West Side Church of Christ Story: An Annotated History of the Congregation in Cleveland, Ohio tells the origin story of the congregation, covering the years 1921 to 1961. Lesa Schofield Inman tells the history of West Side Church of Christ as told to her by Elda Hale Boyd. In the northern, industrial city of Cleveland, Ohio, an improbable primitive church sprang from the roots of a southern religious movement. Clinging to the pattern of New Testament Christianity, West Side Church of Christ became a David against a Goliath in a secular society. It thrived in the aftermath of World War II, publicly debated the fallacy of atheism, and survived internal strife. From their humble beginnings in 1921, their mission continues to be to seek and save the lost.
