The Well-Bred Dolls: Or Happy Play In Grassy Places is a children's book written by Caroline Stetson Allen and published in 1913. The book tells the story of two dolls, Miss Dolly and Miss Puss, who live in a toy shop and dream of exploring the great outdoors. One day, they are purchased by a little girl named Dorothy, who takes them on a picnic in a grassy meadow. There, they meet other dolls and animals, and have a series of adventures while learning important lessons about kindness, friendship, and good manners. The story is illustrated with charming black and white drawings, and is written in a simple, easy-to-read style that is suitable for young readers. Overall, The Well-Bred Dolls is a delightful tale of imagination, friendship, and the joys of outdoor play. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
