Coles THE WEIGHT OF STAYING: Where Survival Becomes Responsibility at Village Green Shopping Centre in Vernon, BC
*Product information may vary - to confirm product availability, pricing, shipping and return information please contact Coles
The Veil is no longer what it once was.
Across Aerenlys, the systems that once defined stability have fractured, reformed, and begun to evolve into something no one fully controls.
Some people adapt.
Some people disappear.
Some people learn to live inside uncertainty.
Elira thought survival meant endurance.
She was wrong.
As the world reshapes itself around presence instead of control, staying becomes more than a decision. It becomes a responsibility — one that cannot be delegated, hidden, or avoided.
But a world built on presence demands something new from everyone who lives in it:
Attention.
Participation.
Cost.
As humanity confronts a future where no system can replace individual responsibility, Elira must face the hardest truth of all:
Survival is no longer about who leaves.
It is about who chooses to remain — and what they are willing to carry.
The Weight of Staying is a literary fantasy about consequence, responsibility, and the quiet strength required to exist without the protection of systems.
Perfect for readers of atmospheric, philosophical, and character-driven speculative fiction.
