Coles The Vanishing Brig: An Age-of-Sail Naval Adventure at Village Green Shopping Centre in Vernon, BC

The Western Approaches.
Lieutenant Edwin Searle has waited too long for a command of his own. When the merchant brig Cawley Anne fails to join a convoy and a lone survivor is brought aboard with a wreck story too clean to be true, Searle sees the flaw no one else wants to risk the tide to test.
The convoy must sail. The merchants are impatient, the coast is hostile, and somewhere beyond the eastern point a privateer is waiting for the signal that will draw British ships into broken water.
Ordered to separate fact from suspicion, Searle follows rope marks, soundings, false signals, and the fear of local boatmen until the missing brig becomes more than a lost ship. It is bait.
To save the convoy, Searle will have to act before permission reaches him. If he is wrong, he will destroy his career. If he waits, men will die under orders that arrive too late.
The Vanishing Brig is an old-fashioned Age-of-Sail adventure of convoy duty, privateers, smuggling water, and command earned under fire.
