The Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles, often referred to collectively as Luke-Acts, represent a two-volume historical and theological narrative that not only tells the story of Jesus Christ but also traces the growth of the early Christian movement. Written by the same author, traditionally identified as Luke, the physician and companion of the Apostle Paul, these texts serve as a bridge between the life and teachings of Jesus and the expansion of His message beyond the confines of Judaism into the wider Greco-Roman world. Scholars widely recognize Luke-Acts as a unified literary work, meticulously structured to provide an orderly and comprehensive account of early Christianity, emphasizing the role of Holy Scripture in shaping its identity, mission, and theological foundations.
