This book, The Trump Years - 2020, is the fourth book in the series, Shoot from the Hip. The book chronologically documents the Trump years as the President of the United States with the use of cartoons. Book 4 begins with cartoons dated January 1, 2020, and averages more than two cartoons per day until November 3, 2020, election day, cumulating a total of 741 cartoons. The characterizations depict in a satirical way Donald Jay Trump's actions, inactions, perceived thoughts, and observations. All the ideas for the cartoons are taken from mainstream media sources, like the New York Times, and are not "Fake News". The intent of these portrayals of events during Donald Trump's tenure as President is very serious in nature although the cartoons may come across as tragically absurd. They are meant to provoke contemplation in a tragically, humorous way. Themes like lying, denying, narcissism, blaming, racism, cronyism, misogynism, egocentrism, corruption, confrontation, idolatry, bigotry, hypocrisy, and others recur through The Apprentice's four-year tenure. The message of the cartoons is primary, and the sketches are secondary because I am not an artist. Admitting this fact should not dissuade the prospective reader because these primitive caricatures convey the message in an appealing way.
