Some of the best memories don't come from store-bought toys or brand-new things.
They come from scraped knees, dusty hands, and long afternoons filled with imagination.
In The Truck We Built , a group of kids turn a simple wooden crate and a few spare parts into something much bigger than they ever expected. With a little creativity, a lot of teamwork, and just enough determination, they build something that feels larger than life.
It isn't perfect. It isn't fancy. But to them, it's everything.
Told through the eyes of memory, this warm and nostalgic story captures a time when childhood meant being outside until the sun went down, when imagination did the heavy lifting, and when the simplest moments became the ones that lasted forever.
Perfect for young readers and families alike, The Truck We Built is a gentle reminder that the things we create together—no matter how small—can become the memories we treasure most.
Because sometimes, the best things we build…
aren't meant to last forever.
They're meant to be remembered.
