A funny opposites-attract romance about second chances, unexpected sparks, and love that doesn’t follow the rules.
Mary Ann Nielsen lives by her one-strike-and-you’re-out dating policy, but fate has other plans. On her way to a charity auction to reclaim her grandmother’s bracelet, she rear-ends Trevor Brooks—a handsome but maddeningly practical analyst who cares more about paperwork than her flirting.
Things only get worse when she, still flustered, bids on the wrong auction item and accidentally wins four dates on a reality TV show—with Trevor. Now she’s broke, bracelet-less, and stuck faking romance on national television with the one man she swore off at first sight.
But behind Trevor’s serious exterior is a steady, thoughtful man with a sly sense of humor and a knack for surprising her. Mary Ann wonders if losing her bracelet might have led her to win the mix-up that matters most—Trevor’s heart.
