Lisa Spencer, Channel 4 News Chief Meteorologist, says, "I like this story-of course because it's about weather, but also because it teaches us something about storms."
One day, a storm begins to brew, scaring Little Dog and Miss Kitty. It is up to Grandma and Grandpa to protect them and enlighten them about why thunderstorms should not be scary.
This charming tale follows Little Dog and Miss Kitty as Grandma and Grandpa comfort them as much as possible, even as the summer storm becomes more intense. They learn how to prepare and stay safe during thunderstorms and tornadoes. Distracting them while also teaching them about storms allows Grandma and Grandpa to help them cope with the thunderous situation.
Readers of all ages can use Grandma and Grandpa's lessons to ease their anxiety about storms.
