America's first professional, racially integrated, rock 'n' roll band starts with the background of Johnny's family. After years of self taught devotion and practice on the guitar, Johnny soon starts a band called, the "Polkadots". Eventually the name changes and band members change as well.Little did Johnny and his band members know that they would one day be, America's very first, professional, black and white band.Enjoy the fun and interesting background stories during the 1950s as Johnny and his band members find their way through an incredible musical and historical journey.Filled with documentation, pictures and other facts of their day, this is a wonderful, true story to read and to share for years to come.
