Aldo tells the story of a boy in his teens and the people around him. Through the history of his community, you will learn valuable lessons about citizenship, human rights, and the power that comes from uniting people on a shared purpose of expressing common concerns.
This story is told by Aldo, whom you will see on almost every book page. He comes from a Roma community and faces challenges daily in working and earning a living, being admitted to the school and having comfortable housing. This book’s messages are numerous, but most importantly, we all are equal despite our differences. Diversity makes the world more beautiful! It is important to note that we also have a lot in common with one another. You will also see in Aldo’s story that coming together and being persistent despite our challenges helps us achieve our goals and positive change.
