Jay is a six-year-old boy who lives in a single-parent home with his mother. He receives a visit from someone named Ms. Stacy, who is a social worker. Ms. Stacy finds ways to help Jay and his mom meet some of their basic needs. This kid-friendly book is an introduction to the social-work profession, and it provides a better perspective of what social workers do. Jay's story is very similar to that of kids all over the world in families that need extra help and support.
