Lost in thought, Ira sipped her favorite coffee, oblivious to the world around her. It wasn't until she noticed a young child laughing and playing with a balloon, held by his mother, that she was snapped back into the moment. Their joy made her smile, and in that instant, she realized what had been missing in her life.
Though she had been divorced for a couple of years, Ira was truly happy-single and rediscovering herself. Her recent trip to Bangalore to visit her roommate, Krupa, from London, had brought new joy into her life, and a small giggle slipped from her lips, startling those nearby. As a professional woman, she now embraced her independence, enjoying weekday outings filled with Bollywood music and dancing with friends. Sundays were her time to unwind, staying home and cooking biryani for her family. Life was slowly, but surely, falling into place.
