"This illustrated collection will delight fans of the series and newcomers alike. Some of the best writing in the series to date."—Beta Reader
Artistry abounds in this little gem of a book. A gorgeous full-page illustration by artist Felix Farley introduces each story, and cover artist Braken's painting wraps the entire cover. The Sigil Five and Dragos Primeri Stories is a collaboration of three creatives and celebrates human creativity.
Each of the five stories has a different flavor, but all will enhance readers' understanding and appreciation for the Dragos Primeri World. The book opens with the novella-length story, The Sigil Five:
Eleventh in line to lead her House, everyone expects Octavia to attend galas, drink wine, and merely observe the machinations of the Great Game.
But Octavia has no intention to sit on the sidelines-especially when her lecherous uncle's deviant activities harm people and threaten her House.
Encouraged by scheming cousins, and emboldened by her new bodyguard, Octavia plans a bold and daring heist: purloin her uncle's house sigil ring.
If she succeeds, not only will Octavia ascend to great power, she'll eliminate the most reviled and dangerous man in Partha.
But if she fails, Octavia will lose everything-including her beloved bodyguard.
Four Additional Stories:
The collection also includes Suliam's Secret, a fairy tale style story that reveals the dark pact Quen's mother made with the dragomancer Nevara. With two stories cut from The Spring Dragon, A Message for Rhoji and Ylfa's Heart will shine a light on backstory. The book concludes with Feed the Roots, a folk-horror style story full of atmosphere and a gothic-style rumination on death.
"I enjoyed learning the story behind Aldewin leaving Partha, and Octavia is a fun new character. I hope we see her again in future books. And Feed the Roots is a great fable-type story. Loved the whole book."—ARC Reader
"I absolutely loved these stories!"—VC, Editor
