After having lung surgery, I had this huge fear that I would die and never produce something with my name on it. That I would never prove to myself and others what I can do. That I would never be the man I knew I had the talent to be. Out of fear, and with no idea on who I was writing this book for, I wrote the rawest and emotionally honest book that you would ever read from a man. These stories span over 13 years of my life of the struggles growing up in South Jamaica Queens. From being kicked out of the house at 14. Homelessness, groups homes, drugs, crime and incarceration. Here is my life told through short stories, essays, poems, parables, rhetoric and comedy sketches. Also with journal entries of the sacrifices and struggles I had to go through putting this book out. Each piece has my age and the date I wrote it. Though the pieces are not in chronological order, it reads as one big story. That's because I arranged it from the beginning to the end, based on how I wanted you to feel. Please enjoy this roller-coaster ride of intellect and emotions.
