Pride, prejudice, and a love that must remain private.
Netherfield Park is let at last, and Mr and Mrs Bennet and their five sons couldn’t be more pleased. For John, the heir, new neighbours bring the prospect of a happy and suitable marriage, if only Miss Bingley’s relations can overcome their distaste for his. For Christopher, the second son, there is the possibility of a different, more daring connection with the disdainful Mr Fitzwilliam, if only he can learn to question his own first impressions…
With all the incident, wit, and romance of the original, The Quaint Convictions of Kit Bennet is a queer re-imagining of Jane Austen’s great classic, with a gender-shifted cast tracing a new love story from Longbourn to Pemberley.
