From her debut work, Shana Burchard delivers the heartwarming children's story of a little brown puppy who could not bark.
Once upon a time, there was an old dusty road. It had little pebbles that jumped like frogs when cars drove over it, but usually no cars traveled on it, which was sad news to a little brown puppy in a shelter at the end of the road.
This touching story shows the power of prayer as the little brown puppy waits expectantly for God to send him a family. Through a series of unexpected events, the puppy finds himself at a loving couple's home. Yet, will he face the risk of being taken away once they discover he cannot bark? This story teaches children how God works all things together for the good of those who love Him. It perfectly illustrates how God knows us and gives us a purpose when we feel inadequate. This tale is perfect for reading aloud and discussing the importance of prayer to children, as well as reading independently and enjoying the rich, vibrant illustrations. Join the little brown puppy on his adventure to a forever home!
