Love and pain are not the same thing. One night. One choice. One family changed forever. Edna thought she knew how to survive her marriage, but at 3:00 AM on a Tuesday, the silence is finally broken. While her neighbor Felista fights to save Edna's life, her brother Dafton grips an axe, ready to settle a decade of debt with blood. As the sun rises over the hospital, Edna must confront the "different shape" of her fear. Does she return to the man who knows how to apologize, or does she listen to the small palms of her son pressing against her cheek? The Punching Bag is a tense, moving journey from the darkness of domestic survival toward the light of a new possibility.
