Malik walks slowly around Kia looking at her as if she was on display. “So this is what you look like. You’re the one that escaped us that night. You are pretty. Smart too.” He can’t keep from looking at Kia’s skin. How it shimmers like tiny pieces of glass rubbed all over it. Then it stops and her beautiful reddish/tan color skin shows.
What is happening to you? Malik wonders. Kia’s eyes shuffle back and forth with anger gleaming from them. If she could only get loose, she knows she would shift into a different creature. She can feel it stirring inside her.
Watching her struggle, he tries hypnotizing her, but he soon learns it doesn’t work on her. She can see past the gaze he offers and straight into his soulless body.
