Bella has many great qualities, but none of these earned her the nickname, "pineapple girl." She turns into a pineapple whenever she sneezes! One day, Bella discovers a hidden door in her bedroom and embarks on a world-traveling adventure. While trying to uncover the mystery around her missing friend, Tommie, Bella learns a great deal about herself. Adventure meets magic in the enchanting tale of The Pineapple Girl. The book will make a meaningful read for any girl struggling with self-esteem. "The idea of a pineapple girl came through my daughter's drawing. She had a bright, smiley pineapple girl with whom I immediately fell in love--she's not like any others, and I love everything about her, especially the little flaws. And ever since then, I've been wanting to write a book about her. While I was doing research on what a pineapple girl would be like, I thought about a pineapple girl as someone who would seem thorny and harsh on the other side but has a warm personality when people get to know her. I think a lot of girls are like that. I was a girl like that, and still am in some ways, so through this book, I really hope to spread some love to all the pineapple girls out there." -- Harry Monster
