Imagine knowing that the world was going to end
---
There was a time when all I wanted was Óreillia, and all she wanted was to be left alone. Not that I was put off, because I knew that come Choosing Day, it would be Órei and me, sitting in a tree...
Her current preoccupation (until she finally opened her eyes to my heroic manliness) was the blimmin' Tower, and the Man who lived there. The Man she believed could help her, because for some reason she was convinced the World was going to end and she needed him to sort of stop that. Before it did.
I didn't want to go, naturally, but things took a turn, and Órei can be, well, Órei, and even if things hadn't gone a bit... my hormones were definitely going. And that meant the Tower, even though it was far from Whenwood. So that's what we did: we went to the Tower and asked to see the Man. And you know what? We found out the world had already ended. Imagine that.
