This is a story about a group of old timers; all coming from different walks of life, all settling in the town of Denison, Iowa. They became good friends and found they had a number of things in common, none the least of which was golf. Not so much different from other similar groups, this story tells of the tragedies they endured together and the lighter moments they all enjoyed together. The kind of moments that are so critical to bonding and forming new and deep friendships. Some, a few were Denison Iowa natives while a number came from Chicago, Omaha, New York, Florida, Virginia and other places throughout the Country.In the second half of the book, it examines the life of one of these men; the author who's life was a shambles but through the grace of God Almighty, a courageous woman and 5 loving children; he went on to lead a positive, productive life and became one of these men.
