There are many nicknames. Some are funny, some cute. Some we like, and some we don't. For Megan it was the latter. Grandmother had given her a name that was sure to stick, But made her sigh every time she heard it. For she was about to find out where hers came from, in the filling of a jelly jar. I grew up in a town where playing outside until dark was the norm. My mother raised me with the feeling of set your mind to it and go for it. Now being a mother and grandmother myself I hold to the same ideas, Rise them with faith in God, And belief that its never to late to try and learn something new. They say lead by example so in my life I have been the owner of a construction company a bakery, soap making, farmer and now a writer. I have worn many hats, but the one I wear most is a grandmother. I think that is the one that fits the best.
