Isle of the Golden Dragons: Grand Duchess Evelyn and the Legless Dragons Bedtime Version is an adaptation of the previous story of the same name. Our younger readers can now hear this shimmering tale before night-night. The shorter Bedtime Version still transports the reader to a sparkling island in the northern sea that is home to three dragons. These dragons, caretakers of the amethyst encrusted isle, fall ill and are saved with the help of a prince and his sea captain, who later befriends them. In the meantime, a royal family and villagers are sent to inhabit the isle and quickly make it their home. Years later, Grand Duke Maxim, his wife Elena, and three little duchesses now benevolently rule over the isle. The youngest duchess, Evelyn, is the dragons' favorite; they spend endless days playing and climbing together until one day when Evelyn finds a legless dragon named Troika on the beach, and their lives are changed forever.
