In 1864, a group of Union soldiers, investigating allegations of slavery, paid a surprise visit to the McKenna family's Kansas farmstead. The McKennas, their two farmhands, and the Union soldiers all vanish, never to be seen again. Dr. Donald Brammer, a professor of psychology and the paranormal, challenges his students to uncover the truth of what happened at the McKenna farm nearly 150 years earlier.
