Most people die, still asleep in the cocoon they've fashioned of life. Comfortable or not, it is familiar and safe, but holds them from realizing their dreams. Some--only a few--get to be butterflies, all it takes is the courage to change. And sometimes, courage is a gift from the Angel of Death. While it could not be told as non-fiction, this is the story based on the true events of this author's life, and of his search for meaning from the precipice of death. Finding himself in a hospital ICU, expecting, but unwilling to die being someone even he doesn't like or respect, he strikes a bargain with The Angel of Death. They begin a journey through his life and in the process the angel becomes a good friend and mentor. With every chapter, Big D, the Angel, teaches him about life's great secrets--the Laws of Spirit--and in the end, he discovers the truth about who he is. If you liked The Celestine Prophecy, Conversations With God, or The Peaceful Warrior, you'll love this book.
