When Benji Larson's parents invite him over for dinner, not only does he have to fend off his wild-child cousin Connie and put up with his parents' cheery, dorky shenanigans, he's also confronted with a 'surprise' he wasn't expecting.
Not only that, he's now tasked with the job of finding a new home for his grandfather's prized possession—a moose head named Boris.
A road trip with his free-loving cousin is not exactly Benji's idea of fun, but if he and Connie manage to get through the day, Benji might just learn that the best people to help mend a broken heart are the ones who love you the most.
The Bones of Benjiis a 14k-word short story that gives us a glimpse into the break-up between Benji Larson and the love of his life, Bastian. It features Benji's lovable but dorky parents, his free-loving cousin Connie, his cantankerous Great Nan and a moose head named Boris. Get ready for some crazy family antics!
