Excerpt from d104ile Trade Terms: Report on Misleading d104ile Trade Terms, Their Causes and Remedies The New York University Bureau of Business Research has completed for the National Vigilance Committee of the Associated Advertising Clubs of the World a comprehensive survey of the trade terms and names used in the textile industry. In this industry, as in many others, there appears to be much confusion in the meaning of the various terms used to designate different products; a confusion which particularly affects consumers although it exists throughout the trade. Buyers do not know from the name what the nature of the fabrics is and two or more fabrics of different weave or finish or content are frequently sold under the same name. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Find more at www.forgottenbooks.com This book is a reproduction of an important historical work. Forgotten Books uses state-of-the-art technology to digitally reconstruct the work, preserving the original format whilst repairing imperfections present in the aged copy. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in our edition. We do, however, repair the vast majority of imperfections successfully; any imperfections that remain are intentionally left to preserve the state of such historical works.
