The book tells a story of a young South African Woman who found herself lost and only through life tragedies like her divorce she was able to find her true self. The realization of her true self did not miraculously make things better, only when she began to work on herself, working inwardly that when she found purpose, the reason for her creation and that made life better and worth fighting for.
