Shafeeqa Farhat is considered as the only female writer of Urdu literature who adopted the genre of humor with such sincerity that she did not let her pen stray for the rest of her life. Many essays continued to exist from her lively pen. Shafiqa Farhat has been well aware of humor and the art of inshaiyah. Apart from the smoothness and fluency of the language, the inversion of words and the change of letters in the essays create such humor that the reader is forced to laugh. She has a good grasp on even the smallest problems of life. The issues that she has made the subject of her satire seems very close to public life.
