Everyone brings something to the table in this fresh take on the classic tale of collaboration, community, and soup.
When a hungry traveler comes to visit, villagers are reluctant to part with their meager harvest. A local girl cooks up a plan to get everyone working together, starting with one "magic" stone. As the townspeople combine their vegetables into a colorful and satisfying soup, they learn the power of sharing with their neighbors. With bright watercolor and collage illustrations, simple text, gentle humor, and nods to famous paintings from history, Stone Soup is a read-aloud that kids and parents can enjoy over and over again.
