This book is a collection of poems in English and Spanish that explore a vast life of adventure, hardship, joy, and reflection. Some poems are rooted in deep seated truths learned over time, others are creative, metaphoric sequences: What is identity? A drying river? A memory of fragrance? Other poems are just stories in fantastical settings-adventurous tales that the writer has invoked to embark on a journey to unleash her creativity and imagination. All this too, an existential part of life. In this collection here, there are no boundaries for what is right or wrong, dark and light. The reader will find the translanguaging between English and Spanish-a play to explore identity and connection through the power of languages. All in all, it's a writer's invitation to enjoy the harmonious dissonance of our duality as humans-a raw and meditative sequence of joy.
