'Sometimes It's Funny: Adventures in Parenthood' takes readers on the roller-coaster ride of early parenthood, from nappy changing to nursery drop-offs and everything in between! Told from both parents' perspectives, through humour, heartfelt anecdotes, and introspective moments, Edward and Josi explore the layers of raising a child, particularly a child of colour in inner-city London.
Drawing from their Saint Lucian and Montserratian heritages, they reflect on the cultural expectations that shape parenting, adding depth and richness to their journey. While not a parenting manual, this book offers a candid and relatable glimpse into the joys, challenges, and surprises of family life. It's a book about parenting and the life that swirls around it.
