Coles Sit a Tall Horse: Stories of Cowhand Give and Take at Village Green Shopping Centre in Vernon, BC

Sit a Tall Horse is an interwoven set of fictional stories that explore the
shrinking world of the cowhand over the past 80 years, built of intense
personal experiences that depend on a cow hand's close observations,
stubborn commitments and sudden risks. True to the long stretches of quiet
that await any cow hand, it is told in 18 interconnected stories focused on
one cowhand over time, Ben Wilder. Through his eyes we watch and tend
closely to the animals on ranches, and see where these workers fit into a
rough-and-ready world that seems to be moving steadily beyond their control.
The personal stories speak of who still does this work, where these cowhands
come from, why and how they stick, and how together they continue to make a
life.
