When Faith Morgan accepts a nanny position with the Ashford family, she finds more than a job—she finds a household frozen in grief. Widower Daniel Ashford has retreated behind walls of silence, while his children suffer in their own ways: seven-year-old Lily hasn't spoken since witnessing her mother's death, and five-year-old Oliver rages against a world that took his mom away.
Faith knows about loss. Orphaned as a teenager, she learned that healing takes patience, love, and someone willing to stay. As she slowly reaches the broken children, she also touches the heart of their guarded father.
Some people come into our lives exactly when we need them most—as if they were sent from heaven itself.
