Rome and Turkey in Connexion with the Second Advent by Edward Hoare is a theological and prophetic analysis that examines the roles of Rome and Turkey in the context of eschatological events leading to the Second Advent of Christ. Hoare, a 19th-century theologian, explores the historical and biblical foundations of his arguments, drawing on prophetic scriptures to articulate the significance of these two powers in the unfolding of biblical prophecy. In the book, Hoare discusses the perceived implications of Roman Catholicism and the Ottoman Empire (Turkey) within the framework of Christian eschatology. He delves into various prophetic interpretations, particularly focusing on the prophecies found in the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation, to articulate how these nations and their actions are linked to the final events of human history. Hoare suggests that understanding the political and spiritual dynamics between Rome and Turkey is essential for grasping the broader context of the Second Coming.
