A college dropout, twenty-year-old Vincent Martino works as a security guard in a parking garage-a job that gives him plenty of time to ponder and wonder about life, everything that goes with it, where he's been, and where he's going. Martino traces his life from his birth in the aftermath of the Cuban Missile Crisis, his stumble through middle school, his experiences growing up in his large family, and his question if God exists and if life is worth living. He sees his life as a dead letter, one without purpose or direction. But following the advice of his brother Daniel, Martino resurrects himself and becomes a devoted teacher. Offering a glimpse into the mind of an incurable poet with an indomitable spirit, Resurrecting a Dead Letter weaves elements of faith, science, and their conflicts into a narrative where they become the indispensable tools in the will to live.
