"This volume is must reading for anyone who thinks a "literal" reading of Scripture inevitably results in a dispensational system of theology." Mark L. Strauss, PhD The author was raised and educated in a dispensational pretribulaition rapture circle. He often heard that all those who took the Bible literally came to dispensational and pretribulation rapture conclusions. Those who did not reach these conclusions were considered "liberal heretics" who interpreted the Bible to meet their own agendas. Imagine the surprise of the author to discover that a literal interpretation of the Bible does not actually support dispensationalism or the pretribulation rapture. We challenge you to read the story of his journey. "This book by one who has had to work his own way out of the [dispensational] system by way of a better reading of the biblical text is well worth the time to read and make available to others." Gordon Fee "The real value of this book is that is written by an insider who knows the intricacies of the dispensational system and has changed his mind." Dr. Ben Witherington, III
